My first attempt to enter the world of photography
I love, love, love taking photos. Pictures have always been so important to me. After our Disneyland trip I was a bit disappointed in how some of our photos turned out. I decided that instead of paying to get the kid's photos taken every year I might as well get a great camera and make it a hobby. It took me forever to finally decide on which one to buy. I studied reviews online, looked in stores, and asked friends about which camera's they use. Finally I decided on the Cannon XSI. This is a great camera which was also in my price range. I got it for a deal on Amazon. So far I've only used it for this one photo shoot, but I have been pleased with the results. I feel like I'm probably only tapping into into a small amount of this camera's potential. I've really got a lot to learn to get good. One great thing about digital photography is that photo shop can put some punch a lack luster photo. Kirk needed to get some 4 year old photo's done so I selected him as my first photography Ginnie pig. Kate had dance this morning so I brought Kirk along with me and took some out side of the dance studio. I have to admit that it was a little bit to cool for comfort. Kirk started to complain that his hands were cold. A good majority of the photo's were frowning ones. But bless his heart I told him I'd give him a quarter if he'd smile and that got him cheesing it. It's amazing how so little can motivate kids. I'm scared for when their teens and the bribes are going to have to get more substantial! Anyways here's how the photo's turned out, remember these were taken with only a brief reading in the camera manual, I've still got alot to learn!
what a handsome little boy. These pics are amazing, especially since it was your first attempt... I would say you are well on your way to being a great photography. Love ya
Way to go! I'm impressed. You're going to have your own little business after a while. :) I'll tell Lexie to watch out. (She wants to be a photog as well.)
