Yellowstone day 2

We went to Old Faithful Geyser on day two.  It was fun to be back, I can remember seeing old faithful as a kid.  After the geyser erupted we walked all around the area and saw hot pots, hot pools, and geysers.  We did a short hike to morning glory which was really colorful.  That is the one Kirk is standing in front of.  Then we went and found a picnic area to eat lunch, and we let the kids play by a stream.  It was a dangerous land mine with buffalo chips.  Benjamin was unfortunate to have stepped right into one.  I had to wash his shoes off in the river.  I have to say that washing out buffalo poop was a first, and hopefully a last time experience for me.  It was a fun day and we enjoyed spending more time outside and less time in the car driving.

Yellow Stone Day 2

Day two of our trip we went into the park for the first time. We headed to the east side of the park, where we met up with my sister Kristen's family.  It was so much fun to see them again.  I love being with my sister and her family it makes me wish we lived closer to each other.  We saw the paint pots, Yellowstone lake, Hayden valley, and the Grand Canyon.  The lake was one of my favorite photo spots.  There was a gorgeous overlook we went to.  We saw a baby deer through the spotting scope which was cute.  We also saw tons of elk.  The Grand Canyon is a definite must see.  The waterfall was gorgeous.  You can't see the water fall in our family picture, we are standing right in front of it.  But you can see it in the photo with just the kids.  It gives you an eery feeling looking over the falls.  It kinda freaks me out, especially with little kids.  They are fearless, especially Jence.  He will climb right over the side railing.

Day one of our Yellowstone Trip

We just had the best time at Yellowstone.  I had forgotten how diverse and interesting this national park is.  There's so much to see, and it's huge.  We saw so much in the few day's we were there, and it was so much fun.  The kid's favorite part was all the animals.  Starring out the window searching for wild life kept their interest clear up the the very last day we were there.  We saw an eagle, elk, deer, baby deer, baby bison, bison, and the highlight a black bear.  The first day we drove into west yellowstone, and checked into our condo.  We then visited the Wildlife preserve.  It had wolfs, and grizzly bears.

St. George

This year over Memorial Day we went with Michelle, Brodie, and Saryta to St. George.  It was a super fun trip.  We did a little hike at Red Rocks and also went to Pioneer park, and a fun splash pad.  The kids also enjoyed swimming, and played with their cousins a lot.  I don't know what I'll do when Michelle leaves to go back to New York.  I'll be excited for her, I know she can't hardly wait for Roger to get back, but we will miss them so much.  Her boys have a special bond with Jence.  Jence talks about Bryston and Briggy, and Colton all the time.  In fact every baby he see's a calls baby Colton.  It's so cute.

Dan with the king on his shoulder's.  Jence thinks he's the king of the house and likes to get his way.  Dan had a misfortune mishap.  He slipped into a little pond and got his i-phone wet.  We sadly couldn't repair it, and it's been replaced.

Family pictures are awesome!

So I have a really good dilemma.  It's nice when two pictures turn out so good that you can't decide which one to frame.  So if you want to leave a comment on which one you like the best please do.  I go back and forth and can't decide!

Soccer season

Kirk has been on the best soccer team this year.  Every single kid is really good.  This actually makes it harder for Kirk to get goals because so many kids dominate,  I don't think they've lost a game, and they usually win by three or four goals.  I need to get a telephoto zoom lens because I can't get very close up shots when the kids are playing sports.  Last week Kirk scored his first goal so far this spring.  He's gotten a lot of assists, and usually passes it, so Dan bribed him with five dollars if he'd make a goal.  That was motivation.  Kirk loves playing sports and is a real patient kid as he tries to get in and stick with the game.

I little photo shoot

I did a photo shoot of my brother Kyle's family.  We took them in an empty field across the street from their neighborhood.  They turned out beautiful.  It looks like we drove out to the country.  I swear the side of the road is sometimes the very best place to do pictures.  I hope you like them Kyle and Sarah.
