Okay I know that Easter was almost two weeks ago, but we've been a little preoccupied with some major home issues. Last week our furnace broke, and mother nature's joke of snow in the middle of April hit as well. It's a long story that I don't feel like reminiscing about. But all is back to normal again and we finally have heat just in time for beautiful sunny sixty degree weather. But we really did have a fun Easter. The kids found their baskets way to quickly. I was going to really make them work for it this year. I swear Kirk has a nose for chocolate, he can sniff it out even behind our family room curtains. I think Easter this year was especially wonderful because conference was the same weekend. At first I have to admit I was a little bummed that the kids couldn't wear their new Easter Sunday attire, but it made conference all that much more special. I think it was one of the best that I can remember. Well that's enough of my own deep thoughts, now onto the candy haul. The kids each got a movie, flip flops (Kate's are to small so any takers for some new pink flip flops let me know I bet they'd fit a 3 or 4 year old perfectly). Cadbury eggs of course, and a chocolate bunny. The kids had already gotten a ton of candy the previous day from the egg hunts, so I didn't want to buy to much. After having a very relaxing day watching Conference we headed to Dan's parents for Easter dinner. I love Easter the only thing missing from this years holiday was some green, and sun. We got some snow that week, and everything was soggy. I can't blog about Easter without expressing how grateful I am for our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that he was resurrected, and that because of him we to will all live again. I know that death is not the end. How grateful I am to have this knowledge when we live in a world with so much sorrow, and pain. It is this light that can comfort us during our darkest nights.
